The familiar way to heat a liquid is to put it in contact with a heat source: a resistance element glows, a flame licks the bottom of a boiler, and the temperature passes through metal into the water. greenXform skips that whole chain.
The unit works on the inductive principle. A magnetic field forms inside it, and the heat is created directly within the liquid from the energy released in that field. There is no glowing wire, no burning fuel and no transfer surface in between.
The parts that are not there
Sometimes the fastest way to explain a technology is to say what it does not contain. greenXform has none of the following:
- Resistance element — there is no part that glows, scales up and burns out over time.
- Flame and flue — no fuel burns, so there is no smoke, soot or waste gas at the point of use.
- Pressurized boiler — the system is pressureless, so there is no boiler room and no boiler operator.
- Steam — the liquid is heated directly, with no steam cycle in between.
Holding the temperature where you want it
The real question is not heating the liquid but holding it at the temperature you want. Once the unit reaches the target it stays there, and it works within ±1 °C. Whatever temperature a production recipe calls for, the liquid stays at that value all day.
In food and chemical work, where temperature decides product quality directly, this is the part customers talk about most.
Where it is used
The industrial line has five models, from 16 kW to 240 kW, all running on a 380 V supply. The residential line is a single unit, the GXF 7-T, which gives 7 kW from a 220 V supply.
Water, milk, vegetable oil and thermal oil are all heated with the same technology. We cover how hot each liquid can go in a separate article.
